Twenty-four million documents may have to be considered in relation to the forthcoming Anglo Irish Bank trial? (Home News, January 23rd).
Is this a joke?

If its a joke, then its a bad one. 500 sheets of A4 paper is approx 2.55 cm high. This would mean e.g. that 24 million documents would stack 1.2 km high. If by the term “documents” is meant multiple sheets then the stack would be several km high.
